OUT OF FOCUS is a three-piece alternative rock band from Newcastle, NSW, formed in late 2024 and performing consistently since April 2025. The band features Ethan Gunther on guitar and vocals, Cooper Broadbent on bass, and Cody Neville on drums. Together, they combine the punch of modern rock with the depth of indie influences, creating a sound that moves naturally between high-energy, riff-driven tracks and more melodic, reflective moments.Known for their engaging live shows and strong commitment to original music, OUT OF FOCUS focuses on delivering performances that feel both powerful and genuine.Having successfully completed a fully self-managed East Coast tour across March and April 2026, planned, organised, and booked entirely independently, the band continues to build strong momentum and connect with new audiences. They remain passionate about what they do, committed to evolving their sound, and focused on what’s ahead.
